We will watch and discuss a biblically based video dealing with various topics associated with grief. The videos are presented by professionals, as well as by those who have experienced grief. Beginning May 10th, a Memory Care Support Group will meet every other Thursday from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in Heritage Room C. If you are caring for a loved one with Dementia of any kind, including Alzheimer’s Disease, come to this group with your questions and concerns. Our annual Parkside church family picnic will be next door at Beech Acres Park on Sunday afternoon of June 10th.  Activities and games (Corn Hole, Can Jam, Checkers, Giant Jenga, Nine Square in the Air, and more) will start at 4:30 p.m.   Beech Acres’ fun children’s playground is available as well!  The meal will be served at 6:00 p.m. near the main shelter.  All food & drinks will be provided this year.  Our menu will include: hot dogs, metz, brats, chicken, baked beans, coleslaw, mac & cheese, chips, cookies, and ice cream!  Please bring your own chairs and canopies for shade.  Sign up on your Connection Card or contact the church office.  For more information contact Betty Howell or Randy Shivers.

Join us Friday, June 15th for a special Preschool Treasure Hunt from 10 a.m. noon in the elementary worship room! Parents and Toddlers, Pre-Kindergarten children explore activities together for a morning of fun! We’ll follow a map to find God’s treasure, decorate a pirate hat, sing some silly songs, act like animals, search for colors and play games, watch a puppet show and listen to a story.
